"...a  songstress  for
the Earth
and humanity’s  awakening
has created an opera  that will move your soul,
shift your reality and enliven  your connection
to all life and nature."

Jaiia Earthschild

A Bard: poet, mystic, composer, storyteller, mythmaker, writer, recording artist, and global citizen.

The music for the rock opera, OurStory was composed over a period of twenty years, each song being the result of profound soul journeying, often during extended periods of solitude in nature. Other pieces were created in response to research and explorations of healing and consciousness that define some of the inner reaches of human awareness. An explorer in the socio-sexual, eco-political and interpersonal dimensions of both human and inter-species experience, Jaiia has created this masterwork as a thesis and a mythical blueprint for our time, offering some solutions to our world in this eleventh hour where our choices will define the quality of life for all beings on earth.

Born just south of London, Jaiia sang before she spoke and was composing arias in her crib. She would sing non-stop from one end of Europe to the other, standing on the arm rest of the family car, her head out of the sunroof to save the family sanity.  Educated  in Australia she toured the country under the auspices of the legendary Sister Gabriel with The Singers of David.  Trained in Rudolf Steiner's mystery schools and ashrams of eastern meditation practices, her work finds its origins in stillness and nature. At the age of 22, she founded a Waldorf-based school and co-founded a children's school for the arts. She was a founding member of the Australian Music Therapist's Association and has taught and guided adults and children, particularly in the realms of music, theater and the arts as therapy. Her musical background is eclectic: from choirs and conservatory studies to street, folk, multi-ethnic and rock influences. A multi-instrumentalist, Jaiia composes for the lyre, piano, guitar and choral groups,

For a decade she was part of a research and teaching team in the realm of western Tantra  guiding couples in practices of yoga, sexuality and healing as a pathway to higher consciousness. She has worked with numerous psychologists and therapists internationally, utilizing ancient and modern practices for the healing & integration of soul, mind, body and society.  She has conducted workshops on: Early Childhood Education, Sound Healing, Song Writing, Voice, Creativity and Transcendence, Sexuality, Hypnosis, Ritual Theater & Women's Empowerment. A freelance writer and journalist, her ecological satires have been published in Australia and the USA.

She has lived on Maui since 1986 and has continued singing in numerous venues across the world, mostly on behalf of nature. A performer and composer she has co-written and produced several musicals and theatrical productions, independently composed and recorded five albums of music and toured internationally.
